What Is Playback?
Playback Theatre is an improvisational, interactive theatre technique which originated 30 years ago and now has worldwide presence. During a Playback performance, an audience member tells a story from their personal experience, then chooses cast members to play the significant characters. After the story is told, it is immediately recreated and given artistic shape and coherence by drama, movement and music.
